At the Singapore Tripartism Forum in September 2007, NTUC Secretary-General Lim Swee Say called on companies to disclose their workforce age profile on their websites to demonstrate their commitment towards age-friendly employment practices, ahead of the re-employment legislation that will take effect in 2012.
To show our commitment to age-friendly employment practices, the age profile of PSA Singapore Terminals employees is shown below.
The national figures are from the Labour Force Survey of Singapore published by the Ministry of Manpower in June 2006. Singapore Terminals profile is as at 15 March 2008.
