Prime Mover Drivers

Join our team of disciplined and motivated prime mover drivers who truck containers within the port for container terminal operations. You will undergo a 2-week training programme and upon completion, you will be given an ITE Skills Certificate in Prime Mover Operations.

Trainee Prime Mover Drivers

You may now join our team of professional prime mover drivers even without driving qualifications. You will be trained to drive prime movers and will be sponsored for Class 3 driving licence in your first year of training and Class 4 driving licence subsequently.

Requirements

· Completed Primary 6
· Perfect colour vision
· Willing to work on shift

Remuneration

You will earn a fixed salary of $1,200 while undergoing basic driving and Prime Mover Operations training. Upon passing the basic driving test and the Prime Mover Operations test, your monthly salary will be adjusted to $1,280. Upon completion of training, you will be awarded an ITE Skills Certificate in Prime Mover Operations. Including incentive and allowances, earn an average monthly gross salary of $1,600 to $1,900.

Yard Crane Operators

You will operate 7-storey-high cranes that work in the PSA container yards. Your main responsibility will be to mount and offload containers to and from prime movers. Your speed and efficiency is critical for the smooth flow of operations.

You will undergo a three-month training programme in yard crane operations, at the end of which you will be given an ITE Skills Certificate.

Quay Crane Operators

As part of our team of highly-skilled quay crane operators, you will operate 12-storey-high cranes that handle containers on customer ships. Your accuracy and speed ensure that our customers’ ships enjoy one of the fastest turnarounds in the world.

You will undergo a comprehensive nine-month training programme using a state-of-the-art crane simulator. Your training will also incorporate one-on-one mentorship and an OJT attachment. You will also have the opportunity to operate other container handling equipment like yard cranes and prime movers. Upon completion of training, an ITE Skills Certificate will be given.

Requirements for all Positions

· Perfect colour vision
· Willing to work on shift
· Preferably with a Class 3 driving licence

Requirements for Yard Crane Operators

· Passed Secondary 2 (Express)/Secondary 3 (Normal)/
NTC 3 (Practical and Theory)
· Able to work at heights

Requirements for Quay Crane Operators

· At least 2 GCE ‘N’ level credits
· Able to work at heights

Operations Supervisor (Planning)

Thousands of containers are stored in the PSA container yards and more are discharged from our customers’ ships every day. Your main responsibility is to plan the sequence of loading and unloading from ships and the placement of containers in our yards.

You will begin with a 3-month training programme which comprises classroom learning and on-the-job training. This will equip you with the necessary skills for ensuring smooth operations flow. You will then undergo a structured OJT programme to learn the fundamentals of ship and yard planning.

You will use comprehensive IT systems and planning tools to ensure quality planning. Outdoor work is also required on occasion.

Requirements:

· Minimum 3 GCE ‘O’ level passes/Higher NITEC/ITC/NITEC/NTC 2
· Perfect colour vision and good with numbers
· Good communication and leadership skills
· Willing to work on shift




Technical Specialists

Your main role in our technical team is to troubleshoot, repair, maintain and modify hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems. You may also participate in equipment modification projects to improve equipment reliability, safety and maintainability.

Requirements:

· Singapore citizen or permanent resident
· Higher NITEC, ITC, NITEC or NTC 2 in a relevant
Electrical or Mechanical trade
· Perfect colour vision
· Able to work at heights
· Willing to work on weekends


Trainee Senior Operations Supervisors

You will undergo a comprehensive 2-year training programme which will comprise classroom training, attachments and on-the-job training (OJT). This programme will equip you with technical skills critical for the smooth and efficient running of our operations.

As part of the training programme, you will be deployed to plan and co-ordinate the various aspects of our operations. This includes ship operations, yard operations, allocation and deployment of resources. You will also supervise and motivate your teams to meet performance targets.

Requirements:

· GCE 'A' Levels with at least 2 'A' and 2 'AO' credits or a Diploma from a recognised institution
· Strong communication skills and leadership skills
· Willing to perform 3 rotating shift
· Perfect colour vision
· Fresh graduates are welcome to apply

Remuneration:

Including incentive and allowances, average monthly gross salary starts from $2,100 pm ($2,300 pm with NS). Your estimated annual package with bonuses will begin at $27,000 pa ($29,500 pa with NS).
