Backed by a strong tradition of providing
quality training programmes, PSA Institute plays a key
role in nurturing staff to their fullest potential.
PSA Institute is an approved training centre for nationally certified courses. It offers a full spectrum of programmes ranging from training needs analysis to course content development and the conduct of theoretical and practical courses.
Together with Singapore’s Institute of Technical Education (ITE), the Institute is recognised as an industry leader in training standards for the port and logistics sector.
PSA Institute trains more than 20,000 people annually. These comprise PSA staff, contractors, the logistics and stevedoring community, shipmasters, overseas pilots, harbour masters and marine officers.
The Institute’s
training know-how is much sought after by its counterparts
globally. Participants from Southeast Asia, Europe,
Middle East and Indian Sub-continent have attended its
training programmes. PSA also shares its pilotage expertise
and experience in R&D in port development with different
ports and partners worldwide.
The success of PSA Institute rests on a pool of dedicated staff and their working partnerships with a vast network of training committees, co-ordinators, industry professionals, line and associate trainers. Trainers are drawn from among the best in PSA who are equipped with a wealth of experience in core areas including equipment handling, repair and maintenance and port operations. |
