In July 2015, PSA launched Health@Home (H@H), a new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative that seeks to encourage staff volunteerism and support home-based healthcare for the elderly, chronically ill or infirm. This programme will also help to prepare our staff for a healthy lifestyle through health education.
Our CSR partners for H@H are St Luke’s ElderCare, HCA Hospice Care and National University Health System in collaboration with Lions Befrienders. Our H@H volunteers will visit and support the activities of the daycare centres under our healthcare partners, assist patients in simple ways such as exercises and games, or provide social and emotional support on a befriending basis.
Besides Health@Home, PSA’s community engagement also focuses on youth development as we are keen to develop and build leadership in youth – the future pillars of our country.
We organise regular activities with The Haven, a residential home established by The Salvation Army for abandoned, abused and neglected children and young adults, who are referred to the home by the Ministry of Social and Family Development.
